Season of Challenge

Scores 200-350

You are in a season that’s testing you: emotionally, physically, or spiritually. There may be grief, upheaval, unexpected loss, or inner dissonance. This is a time to honor your capacity and lean on support. There’s no pressure to bloom in a season of survival. Let your healing be slow. The clarity and strength you’re gaining, though hard-won, are becoming part of who you are, and will become beautiful parts of your story.

Season of Desire

Scores 350-550

You know something’s off. Life may be functional on the surface, but something within is stirring…a longing, a whisper, a need for deeper alignment. You might feel restless, unfulfilled, or uncertain, but underneath it all is desire. That’s a beautiful thing. This season calls you inward to explore your values, name what you truly want, and give yourself permission to imagine the life of your dreams.

Season of Becoming

Scores 550-750

You’ve moved past longing and into action. This is a season of effort: of setting boundaries, rewriting habits, healing old wounds, building routines, or investing in personal growth. It may feel slow or hard, but you’re laying foundations. It’s okay if this doesn’t look shiny or impressive to the outside world. Your work is sacred. You are actively creating the life you once longed for.

Season of Blooming

Scores 750-800

You’ve done the hard work, and now you’re beginning to see the fruit. Whether it’s a new mindset, a meaningful relationship, a creative project, or a deeper peace within, something beautiful is taking shape. You’re stepping into the life of your dreams with joy, confidence, and clarity. This is a season to celebrate, express, and share the light that’s emerging from your journey.

While there are many ways that we could have broken down the varying experiences in women’s lives, we have decided to keep it simple, feeling that broad strokes are fitting to accomplish our goals in this situation. We wanted to highlight some of the most common emotional landscapes that we’ve all experienced at some point or another – without focusing on age, marital status, job description, salary level etc. Our hope is that we see our commonality reflected in this breakdown of “seasons,” and that by asking these questions on the emotional level first, the heart of every woman is truly captured at the outset.

In this way, women who are experiencing a “Season of Challenge” may find themselves there for a variety of reasons:

  • One woman may be coming to grips with the fact that the area of study she’s already committed 3 years of undergrad to, now feels like the last thing in the world she wants to do with her life.
  • Another woman may find herself suddenly caring for aging parents, processing both grief, changing schedules, and the demands of navigating the healthcare system at the same time.
  • Another woman may be picking up the pieces of her life after she watched her marriage crumble to the ground.

Honestly, there could be so many of these examples.

Similarly, women who are experiencing a “Season of Blooming” may also find themselves there for a variety of reasons:

  • One woman may have just gotten word that she is pregnant after many failed rounds of IVF.
  • Another woman may have just accepted her dream job.
  • Still another woman may have hit her max rep goals at her local gym.

And so on and so on.

We hope that the first thing this assessment does is give you encouragement, because:

No matter what season you find yourself in today, you are NOT ALONE.

Women of all walks and stages of life either have experienced, or are experiencing a similar emotional landscape.

With that said, let’s discuss the KEY to understanding the Seasons.

The Key

The most important thing you can know about the Seasons is this:

They are NOT linear.

In other words, the goal is not to move from Challenge, to Desire, to Becoming, to finally arrive at Blooming and to stay at Blooming for the rest of your life. That is unrealistic and also actually works against the process of building the life of your dreams.

Instead, the expectation is that all seasons will likely touch your life at some point, and that you will experience each one many times for different reasons.

Your goal is to be a master of the following:

  1. Identifying which season you are currently in and why
  2. Identifying what you need most in that season
  3. Transitioning from season to season with confidence
  4. Maximizing each season towards your overall growth

The goal is simply stated, but infinitely layered: KEEP MOVING.

The truth is that no matter how carefully we plan, organize, or work towards the dream version of our lives, there are uncontrollable aspects of living that we must attend to. None of us are immune to unforeseen circumstances, unexpected losses, or unanticipated challenges. Part of wholeness is embracing these portions of real life with thoughtfulness and grace. The win is not pretending something hard isn’t hard. The win is being honest with the fact that it IS hard, and understanding how to make adjustments that allow you to move forward in a healthy way in this new reality.

The coinciding truth is the opposite. Even if you are living the life of your dreams right now, if you are truly growing, change will occur. It is often the case that those who have gained the most maturity are also the most acutely aware of areas where they still see opportunities for growth. Women who are serious about personal growth always stay curious as to “what’s next.” This is not motivated by greed or discontentment, but by a security that comes from always being open to new opportunities. Life keeps moving; staying stagnant will rob you of experiencing all of it.

No matter what season you are in currently, your first step to steward that season well is this:

ASK GOOD QUESTIONS.

Ask tough, gritty questions of yourself that dig beyond “what’s on my to-do list this week,” and get to your heart and desires.

What do I really want?

Where do I need help?

Who can I lean on for support?

What am I willing to sacrifice?

The first step in any season is to sit with yourself in unfiltered honesty. No filter. No rose colored glasses. Just raw thoughts and emotions. Where are you right now? What are you feeling? How are you really? Those answers will anchor you in truth – and truth is a firm foundation from which to build.

No matter what season you are currently in, we encourage you to lean in with open eyes. There is opportunity for you in every season. You aren’t too late to start building something new from right where you are.
